[Active Ingredient] Trichloroisocyanuric Acid
[Characteristics] This product is a white or off-white powder, with a pungent odor of hypochlorous acid.
[Pharmacology] Trichloroisocyanuric Acid is a disinfectant and antiseptic. It can hydrolyze in water to form hypochlorous acid with strong oxidizing properties; the latter can further release active chlorine and nascent oxygen. The disinfection mechanism of this product is jointly formed by the oxidizing effect of hypochlorous acid and the chlorinating effect of active chlorine. Among them, the oxidizing effect of hypochlorous acid is the most important disinfection effect. Hypochlorous acid exists in molecular form in water; since it is uncharged, its rate of diffusion and penetration through cell membranes is faster than that of charged hypochlorite ions. Hypochlorous acid acts on bacterial (viral) proteins, destroying their phosphodehydrogenase or undergoing oxidation reactions with proteins, leading to the death of bacteria (viruses). Nascent oxygen can oxidize bacterial proteins to kill bacteria (viruses). Active chlorine acts directly on bacterial (viral) proteins to form nitrogen-chlorine complexes, interfering with cellular metabolism and causing the death of bacteria (viruses).
[Action and Uses] It is a disinfectant and antiseptic. Mainly used for the disinfection of bacterial diseases in fish and shrimp, as well as the aquaculture water for fish and shrimp.
[Usage and Dosage] Based on this product:
1. After diluting 1000-3000 times with water, sprinkle evenly over the entire pond: 0.18-0.27g per 1m³ of water (i.e., 120-180g of this product per mu of water with a depth of 1 meter), once a day, for 1-2 consecutive days.
2. For pond cleaning: 0.6g per 1m³ of water (i.e., 400g of this product per mu of water with a depth of 1 meter).
[Adverse Reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when used in accordance with the specified usage and dosage.
[Precautions]
(1) Do not use metal containers to hold this product.
(2) It is strictly prohibited to use before or after oxygen deficiency or fish surfacing (due to oxygen shortage).
(3) When the water quality is relatively lean (low in nutrients) and the transparency is higher than 30cm, reduce the dosage as appropriate.
(4) Halve the dosage when using for fish fry and shrimp larvae.
(5) Use with caution for ulcer disease and saprolegniasis in scaleless fish.
