
[Active Ingredient] Avermectin B1.
[Appearance] Colorless to slightly yellow, slightly viscous, transparent liquid.
[Pharmacological Action] Avermectin is an anthelmintic agent. It exhibits a 94%–100% removal rate against adult and immature forms of Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Strongyloides ransomi, Trichuris suis, Oesophagostomum, Metastrongylus, and Stephanurus dentatus in pigs. It is also highly effective against intestinal Trichinella spiralis (ineffective against muscle-stage Trichinella), and provides good control of Haematopinus suis and Sarcoptes scabiei var. suis. It is ineffective against trematodes and cestodes. In addition, as an insecticide, avermectin has broad-spectrum activity against aquatic and agricultural insects, mites, and fire ants.
[Drug Interactions] Concurrent use with diethylcarbamazine may result in severe or fatal encephalopathy.
[Indications] Antibiotic. Used for the treatment of nematode infections, acariasis, and parasitic insect infestations in livestock.
[Dosage and Administration] Pour-on or topical application: Single dose, 0.1 mL per kg body weight for cattle and pigs, applied along the midline of the back from the shoulders to the tail. For dogs and rabbits, apply to the inner surface of both ears.
[Adverse Reactions] No adverse reactions have been observed when used according to the recommended dosage and administration.
[Precautions]
1. Do not use during lactation.
2. Avermectin is highly toxic; use with caution. It is extremely toxic to shrimp, fish, and aquatic organisms. Do not allow packaging materials containing residual drug to contaminate water sources.
3. This product is relatively unstable, particularly sensitive to light, and can be rapidly oxidized and inactivated. Pay attention to storage and usage conditions.
